Service Unavailable
As per message to all members and hosts about our relocation, Webmail will be unavailable
until we are completely re-setup.
As previously advised, Webmail users can still access and send Emails
by using a local client.
We have always offered POP3 since our inception, SMTP Auth has been
offered on our mail servers since moving to our new virtual domain mail
environment in mid 2008.
If you're normally a WebMail only user, setting up POP3 for the first
time is easy, you can set it up now and continue to use it forever.
You can use Webmail and POP3 clients, they both access the same mail
storage, but remember, POP3 clients by default, when they download
your mail, also delete that mail off the server, so your next WebMail
login wont show any mail, unless you locate your POP3 clients setting
for "leave mail on server". Remember to setup SMTP Auth to send mail.
There are a myriad of POP3 capable clients available, Evolution, Kmail,
MacMail, Thunderbird, Outlook, Outlook Express, and Mail on iphone to name only some.
We recommend Evolution for Linux users, MacMail for Mac users, and
Outlook express for Windows users.
WARNING: NOTICE
These temporary measures mean your Email is now relocated to Australia, the older warning is no longer applicable, however, mail is still currently not stored on our own equipment, but privacy laws are stronger now and observed.
Ausics Mail is until further advised that we have completed our local relocation, stored
in the United States of America, as such, your Mail content is subject
to inspection at any time under the U.S. Patriot Act by US Law Enforcment Agencies, such as FBI and Homeland Security.
This wont be an issue for anyone I'm sure as the same applies to everyone in the U.S and everyone in any country using the free U.S. hosted
Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail/Live.com and any other free webmail service in the U.S. We issue this warning for those who have strict privacy concerns, as Australian Laws and Acts are much more stringent when it comes to interception, it is for this reason we bring this to your attention.
